Alisha Laventure speaks French, Spanish, and Creole, and of course—English…and now she’s going to be the weekend news anchor at WFAA in Dallas,Texas. Go Alisha!

The daughter of a Haitian-American couple, Alisha graduated with a double major in Romance Languages and Communications at Virginia’s Washington and Lee University. She was born in Long Island and was previously an anchor in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

She starts this new position in July. Congratulations to her.
