Kreyolicious Music: Syèl by @akoustik_band and @GardyGirault

“Syèl”, a track by the Haiti-based band Akoustik accompanied by Gardy Girault, a DJ-producer also based in Haiti sounds like three sets of opulent thunders got together with a strong wind and decided to make a band. Lots of sweeping drums, and hip-hop jazz thrown in, and traditional Haitian music seeps in too. The lush lead vocals definitely contribute to the overall power of the track. Very bluesy.
