5 Times Saskya Sky Looked Kreyolicious And Totally Killed The Fashion Game

Call her Miami’s Blonde Venus. Saskya Sky has the voice, and she has the look to shine at any party. She’s a star even when she’s not “turned up”. The petite singer behind the girl empowerment track “Pretty Girl Whip” is not only inspiring young girls and women with her message of self-love, but she’s also inspiring them with her fashion sense. Shall we look at all the times she’s looked kreyolicious and killed the fashion game? Yes, we should, and we shall.

1. That time she wore her custom Holchiline Alcy dress.

Doesn’t she look like a genie from one of the stories of your local library’s edition of Arabian Knights? She’s a genie without a bottle, baby.

2. When she paid that silent tribute to Billie Holiday.
Saskya Sky
A lily on her shaggy mane…a pensive look…an overall tribute to 1940s Harlem.

3. That time when she took the Madonna of the Blonde Ambition tour era out of storage boxes.

Yeah, she looks just like a classic version of The Material Girl. Leather-bra with a silver chain. Hair pulled up in a tight, super-slick ponytail.

4. That time when she proved once and for all…that one piece can totally make an outfit.
Saskya Sky
With this Asian-patterned, oversized jacket, the singer made quite a fashion statement…a fashion statement with multiple exclamation marks.

5. That time when she made the breast of small-breasted girls shake with pride.

Women with small chests are sometimes made to feel like they’re inadequate. Like, they’re missing some meat on their breast plates. Like Aaliyah before her, Saskya rocked her small frame with pride. To see her wear this scarf outfit isn’t just looking at a woman with an intrepid sense of style. It’s self-acceptance in the flesh. You’re small chested? Be proud. It’s okay. No hate on those with triple Ds to Gs, but small-chested girls can be styling too, thank you very much. And thank you Saskya for proving so. There’s nothing better than a fashion statement enveloped in a self-esteem statement.

There you have it folks…5 Times Saskya Sky looked kreyolicious…and totally killed the fashion game.

ABOUT K. St Fort K. St. Fort is the Editor and Founder of, well, Kreyolicious.com and wishes to give you a heartfelt welcome to her site. She loves to read, write, and listen to music and is fascinated by her Haitian roots, and all aspects of her culture. Speaking of music, she likes it loud, really, really loud. Like bicuspid valve raising-loud. Her other love are the movies. She was once a Top 50 finalist for a student screenwriting competition, encouraging her to continue pounding the pavement. She has completed several screenplays, with Haiti as the backdrop, one of which tackles sexual abuse in an upper middle class Haitian family, while another has child slavery as its subject. She is currently completing another script, this time a thriller, about two sisters who reunite after nearly 10 years of separation. A strong believer in using films to further educational purposes, and to raise awareness about important subjects, she has made it a point to write about social issues facing Haiti, and making them an integral part of her projects. She has interviewed such Haitian-American celebrities as Roxane Gay, Garcelle Beauvais, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Briana Roy, Karen Civil, and many, many more. And that’s her writing this whole biographical sketch. She actually thinks writing about herself in the third person is cute.
